Long time

Wow, so it has been a really long time since I have written anything on here. Not much has been going on, I have just been too lazy to log into the computer.
Dave is out watching the World Series right now. Unfortunately the Cardinals are not playing this year, so we have to root for the Rockies! Work is about the same, boring. I really need a vacation. I don't have another day off until Thanksgiving. No, we do NOT get Veteren's Day off as we should. Oh well, I get all my vacation time back in January.
Dave and I are coming up on our one year anniversary. I can't believe a whole year has already gone by. We still have so much to do with the house that we thought we would have accomplished by now, but we don't. This will be our first Halloween in our house and I am anxious to see how many kids come by and what their costumes are. I'm excited!
Well, I had better get off here, Minnie is trying to eat the cursor!

Lonely

Well, Dave was home for about 20 minutes and then he left again. This time to go fishing with his friend, Ryan. I hope he has fun, but I don't like sitting here by myself. But, as always, I have things to keep me busy. It's just when it's time to go to bed that I really feel lonely.
Anyway, work still hasn't picked up. We are having a potluck at work tomorrow for a girl who is leaving to enter the army. That does NOT sound like fun to me. I have to make a cake to take in. It's yummy!

All by myself...kinda

Well, Dave is down in St. Louis helping his sister and brother-in-law move into their new house. They moved from Chicago to St. Louis for their company. So that means that it is just me, Copper and Minnie tonight. It's going to be a long night. Luckily, I have lots to do to keep my busy.



Work has been really slow this week. I'm just waiting for it to all drop in at once. That is going to be horrible when it does. On the bright side, I am able to come home early occasionally.



OK I'm gonna get off here and go make myself some dinner. It's not easy cooking for just one person. I have no idea what I am going to have.

Another day...

It's another day in my life. Not too much is happening. Well, not anymore. A week ago Friday, my mom was walking from the bank and was hit by a pickup truck. She was not too badly hurt. She has a broken wrist and has to wear a cast for 6 weeks. But other than that she is fine.

On a brighter note, Rachel was crowned Homecoming Queen at Pekin High School! We are all so proud of her. She was absolutely beautiful during the parade and game Friday night. I haven't seen pictures from Homecoming yet, but I'm sure she was beautiful for that too.

Dave is on vacation this week, but unfortunately I have to work. He is helping his sister move to St. Louis from Chicago tomorrow and Wednesday. That should be fun. It will definetely keep him busy. Then he is fishing the rest of the week. I'm not sure what I am going to do with myself.

Work is kinda slow right now. Granted today was a holiday, but I thought we would be busier. Unfortunately, we will probably be really busy tomorrow! I'm not looking forward to that.

Well, I should probably get to bed so I can get up early and walk on the treadmill. I'm trying to lose some weight, so any prayers you can spare for me would be greatly appreciated!

My First Blog

So, I have not blogged before, but thought it might be a good way to keep in touch with those I haven't spoken to in a while.

Dave and I are coming up on our first wedding anniversary! I can't believe a year has flown by already. It seems like yesterday we were planning everything for our wedding. Now we are home owners and pet owners. We have an adorable dog named Copper and a beautiful cat named Minnie. They are our children until God blesses us with a baby. I will put pictures on here as soon as I figure out how :)
