And her name is...

Well, a decision has been made. We decided to name her Lucy. I just think she looks like a Lucy.

Last night we tried to put her in her kennel to sleep and she just started crying. So we put her in bed with us and let her fall asleep. When she was sound asleep I put her back in the kennel and she just laid down and slept. So I proceed to go back to sleep. Well, about 45 minutes later I am woken up from a dead sleep to Lucy crying and yelping so loud. I tried to ignore her for a few minutes but it broke my heart to hear her yelp. So out of the kennel she comes and back into the bed with mommy and daddy. I put down a blanket just in case she messed and she laid right down and fell sound asleep again. She did not move once during the night.

Right now she is laying beside me on her back sound asleep. Copper is laying with daddy just as happy as can be.

Addition

Well, we have been discussing it for a while and we finally decided to add on to our family. Tonight we brought home our new little girl. We don't have a name for her yet, so any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. I can't guarantee it will be used, but it will definetely be considered. Here are a couple of pictures of our adorable little girl.






Isn't she beautiful. Copper is dealing very well, but Minnie isn't too sure about her yet. I'll try to get more pictures on here soon and maybe even a video or two. Have a good night.

Happy Easter!

Again

I am sick again. I thought I was just going to get the cough back, I could handle that. But OH NO! Now I have the runny/stuffy nose and my throat is swollen and sore. I had it in January and now I have it again. I can't afford to take anymore time off from work other than a day here and a day there. I only have so many days. Then it starts counting against me. Just plain frustrating. And I get to start a really long week. Tomorrow I will probably have a 10 hour day or close to it. Then Tuesday I don't think I have anything planned, thankfully. Wednesday is Civic Chorus and Thursday is Maundy Thursday so I have to sing. Friday will hopefully be somewhat relaxing. But I'm not counting on it. And then we have Easter weekend. Everyone knows that holiday weekends are not relaxing. Especially when you have two families to divide your time between.

We'll get it figured out.



I'm starving so Dave and I are going to eat some pizza...as soon as it gets here. It's Sunday night, what's better than delivery? Nope it's not Digiorno...it's Dominos. And it's here. Yay!

Road Trip

Dave and I took a road trip today. We drove up to Herscher to see Rachel and the rest of the Noteables compete in their last competition of the season. That means it was Rachel's last competition EVER! Tear Right when we got there we watched Rachel and some of her friends compete in the solo competition. Rachel was PHENOMENAL! I was so impressed by Rachel today. Then after the solo competition it was off to the Junior High section of the school to watch the Jazz Band perform. Again, they were GREAT! Then we went to eat before the Noteables competed. On to the main gym for the main event. I haven't seen the Noteables be this good in such a long time. Every soloist in the show did great, especially little Baby Rachel. I can't believe I won't get to see her do this anymore, well after the Noteable Review later this year. I just can't believe she is all grown up.

We are VERY proud of Rachel and the rest of Noteables/Jazz Band/Intuition. They all did a FABULOUS job. I suggest everyone come to see the final Review at the end of the school year. I will let everyone know when it is once I find out. I assure you, it will be great.

Sick of being sick...

So, I am getting my cold back. GRRRRRRR!!!!!!! I just got over it and now my throat is swollen, my glands are swollen and I'm coughing again. NOT FUN!
I also had to go to the doctor today and get my blood sucked. Again....NOT FUN! I am definetely not a fan of needles. I should know if I am normal or not on Friday. Well, that is when they are calling with the results of my blood tests.
I am in the process of watching Big Brother right now...Dave taped it for me while I was at Civic Chorus...and I was so upset that they all voted James out. But there is a twist....the houseguests got to vote to bring someone back into the house..either James or a former houseguest (Alex).

Ok you can read again. SO, now I have to wait until Sunday to see the end of the head of household competition. So, I hope everyone is having a fabulous week. Mine is better. I stayed home from work on Tuesday b/c I had a migraine and a bad sore throat. Tomorrow is Thursday so, we only have 2 days left before the weekend and then we go to Herscher to watch the Noteables compete. Rachel will be competing in the solo competition and hopefully in the actual showchoir competition. Especially since it is her last competition EVER.
She needs some prayers right now. She has two bulging discs in her back and she is in some pain right now. She went to the chiropractor and he did an adjustment and she is feeling better, but she still may not be able to compete. She needs prayers, not only for being able to compete but also that this goes away or gets better. Poor Baby Rachel (Michelle and I nicknamed Rachel that a long time ago).

New Me

So, I got my hair cut tonight. It is about the same length, but I have bangs again. I haven't had bangs since my senior year of high school. It was a big deal for me. Now I can't just throw my hair in a pony tail and go....I have to do something with my hair so it looks good. They are short bangs though. I will try to get a picture on here soon so you can see what it looks like. I think I like it. We'll see though when I try to do something with it.

Well, hope everyone had a good Monday. I think I'm ready for the weekend already. I have a recognition dinner for work tomorrow night. I'm taking my camera so hopefully I will have some good pictures to post later this week.

Oh No

It's another Sunday night. That means I have to go to work tomorrow and it will probably be another 10 hour day. Luckily, I don't have any plans for tomorrow night, so I should be able to relax a litttle. I think it is going to be a long week though. I really need a vacation and I don't have one until June. And that only occurs after a very long and busy week of Civic Chorus shows (tickets to come soon if you are interested in seeing the show). It promises to be GREAT!
I am very excited about the show this year. I don't think there is a single song that I don't like. I will be able to fill you in on the theme of the show later. I can't tell you all until our director Lisa has given us the ok. But when she does, I promise to tell you.
Well, Dave is getting ready to play Wii. We got a new game with another remote so that we can play together. Well, I have some laundry to do so I better get going. Hope everyone has a FABULOUS week.

New Laptop

We bought a new laptop! It is from Dell and it is wireless. I chose the spring green color for the laptop. I absolutely LOVE IT! Well, I don't have much to write at this time. It has been a long week and it is WAAAAAY past my bedtime.

Another Wednesday

Well, it's the middle of the work week once again. I am wishing tomorrow is Friday, but unfortunately, it's only Thursday. The one good thing about tomorrow is it's PAYDAY!

Civic Chorus is killing me! I find myself so tired after work and then have to eat and go to Chorus. I just can't find time to sleep. Oh well, you sleep when you are dead right? (That's what people always tell me anyway.)

SO...nothing new to share as far as the weight thing. I haven't lost or gained any weight since last week. I guess that could be good. I just need to start exercising more.

Well, sorry this one was so boring. Nothing really going on right now. I'm going to bed.

Well, today is Michelle's birthday. She is 24. We went to my parent's house and had roast and mashed potatoes and carrots and green bean casserole and crescent rolls and CAKE! I know, I am supposed to be losing weight, but I promise you, it was a very small piece of cake. We took the Wii over there to play and my grandma decided she wanted to bowl. OK so we let her. She couldn't figure out how to work the remote. Then, she kept blaming the ball for not hitting the pins. Then, she acted like she was really bowling and started rattling off all this bowling jargon like: "Oh that's a sleeper!" or "That is a washout!" or the best yet "You just bowled a Brooklyn!" Like anyone was supposed to know what in the world she was talking about. I could have taken pictures, but it would not have given you even half the entertainment that you would have had if you had been there. My grandma is great! We love her very much, but sometimes she can be so entertaining it is just too hard not to laugh. We all had fun though. So now, I have to try to settle myself down enough to be able to fall asleep since I have to work tomorrow. I wish I had the day off because of some Polish guy. Must be nice for those teachers out there who actually get to celebrate the day.
